The only true event being that someone went to Best-Buy and purchased a video camera. While the director attempts to make up for the lack of substance with gratuitous nudity, even that is done poorly. All in all, another found footage stinker from The Asylum. He also sees an apparition briefly while exploring the kitchen in the dark. It says the name of the father and give the actor who potrayed him. January 22nd, 2011 — Day 8 — Jeanette hears something and falls in the basement.
The average viewer will be wrong. There are others like me who don't care about originality. The story line of this film tries to portray a blending of paranormal activity and the Blair witch project. Everything feels random with events being strung along together with little correlation to one another and a lot of the time ridiculously executed, and it is very predictable not helped by droning whispering voice-overs that tells us far too much too soon. Dana becomes trapped in the basement. The sound is mixed in a muddied way and the soundtrack is plodding with nothing memorable. People start wandering around in dazes more often and crying more often, but it still manages to not build tension.
January 27th, 2011 — Day 13 — While filming a tribute to Colby at Wood Creek, Chris is attacked and killed by the witch. The Sawyers are recently displaced from Chicago. His name is Scott Sawyer potrayed by Drew Cash. A purchase in which must have come with a free copy of some obscure video editing software. Adams is so small that the exact same police officer, Officer Bungalon, takes every call whether it is 8pm or 3am. The direction is completely flat and half-hearted, veering on incompetent, and you don't care for a single character, that they're cardboard cut-outs is one problem and that they often act like idiots especially the police officer is even more problematic. The setting is spooky enough looks-wise but with little atmosphere it feels very bland and too much of a cliche.
It is a very cheap-looking movie for starters, sometimes the movie is lit too darkly while the editing at best is sloppy. Brandon hears scratching at his door while he tries to sleep. A first act of creaking doors and knocked over bric-a-brac makes way for a few bloody bodies before escalating into a full blown demonic possession. Officer Bungalon later finds her body hanging from a tree. For want of a better word, the script is shambolic with no structure or flow and dialogue that sounds awkward and underwritten.
What was first thought to be a. January 20th, 2011 — Day 6 — Brandon finds footprints leading from a puddle in the basement. Horror video documentaries are good when done right. It uses made up days like the 21th and the 22th anyway, so who knows what calendar they are using. This occurs, not after setting up any sort of coherent narrative, but in the opening minutes of the movie. They were even kind enough to splice in a few pointless montages of a family dinner, Brandon and his buddies goofing around, and teenage girls recording their web series on fashion tips.
Michael cuts his hand while feeling for the source of the noise. While Kristi and Dana sleep in a bed together, their bed sheet rises in the air before returning to the bed and attempting to suffocate the girls. Dana then forces her father to turn the gun on himself. During one scene, the timestamp changes from 22:34pm to 20:35pm at the switch between his dashboard camera and his chest camera. But please, make it good. The creators claim that this film is based on true events. A living room lamp turns on by itself.
He goes into convulsions as a fire burns in the outside fireplace. I'm sure it was the lite version at that. The pacing is bad, with no escalation of tension. The story has very little to it, it is very tediously paced with scenes like the men that become electrocuted and possessed going on for far too long. January 24th, 2011 — Day 10 — Jeanette cuts her hand while fiddling with the living room lamp. Just as wrong as believing that the stiffly delivered dialogue from Officer Bungalon might improve in his second, third, or even fourth scene.
Why are you even allowed on the internet? The strange events begin at a birthday party for young Brandon Sawyer. Jeanette calls 911 when she is unable to find her daughter. Time shifting is not the only bizarre anomaly that takes place in Adams. The Robertson County Sheriff's Department has released footage found on the bodies of the Sawyer family's cell phones and video cameras. Officer Bungalon later finds Dana in a drainage pipe eating a raccoon and returns her to the Sawyer residence. Very little does, but watching this Amtrak jump the rails is never short of interesting.
