Sounds like a problem with the game itself. What is the main cause of this problem? To the best of my knowledge there is no way to tell for sure from the game cover at least not in our region Some games will work and others won't. Feb 19, 2009 does it stop working? Or perhaps my problem has nothing to do with the controller? Also you should put a Side note that correct me if I'm wrong certain entries in the compatibility list haven't been updated in almost 6 months. I had significant problems with one, but the other worked smoothly on my old setup. Due to lack of testers, Chickenliver hasn't been able to finish the mod.
It's not time to give up hope yet. I will need the required plugins for this to work, right? People may wish to know that I chased up Game, hoping to get a DualShock 2 out of them, as advertised. All three say that the controller is working. I get around 13 frames in game, but cut scenes I get full frames 30-60. It would not accurately capture the gradation of the analog stick, but I dont know how important the analog is in that game.
I have done some research on the net and keep seeing inferences that some games require a DualShock 2 controller. If it says nothing about the controller eg. I didn't realise that Game's advert said a DualShock 2 was included. Note: Before asking questions, check the compatibility list to see if the game you want to run is supported! You'll need a small Phillips screwdriver and a clear flat area such as a table because the Dualshock contains a lot of small parts you don't want bouncing off onto the floor. But I don't think this can be taken as an indication that a Dualshock 1 won't work at all. Although it was functioning, some of the buttons required a harder press than the others. You can usually avoid the game freezing by killing the second enemy, then attacking the enemy that froze the game.
I gave this a quick test again and it does fix it when the feature is disabled. This mostly occurs when there are exactly two enemies. And if your party attacks, the game will hang. If you want the cheats I used, my pnach file can be found here ------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------ If anyone has any questions or comments regarding the guide, please feel free to reply in this thread. If this helped you leave feedback please. When opening up the controller keep the controller upside down, buttons and sticks facing the table when you get it open, you ideally want the buttons and other odds and ends to stay in place in the top half of the controller.
Incidentally, I sent an email to Game seven days ago as suggested by ploder. Basically if you ask me on how to run iso file on pcsx2. Edited March 21, 2017 by Retro808 Oh that's interesting. To test this I plugged in my Dualshock 1 and started Okami and I didn't have any problems. So if you have a xBox360 Guitar, please help by testing and providing feedback. Please email me back for help. I figured as I've no white thing, just sellotaping it down could work but no dice.
I am most grateful for your detailed reply. Tomorrow, I intend contacting Game Customer Services to ask for a 2, as advertised. Go through the and see if you can adjust your settings to match your slightly outdated hardware. Solution is to open the controller and connect the loose wire, dust is also a big factor if buttons are already not responding so try also to remove accumulated dust on the button touch board. They replied that they have none to give me as now out of stock but offered to refund my money if not satisfied. Maybe used compressed air or just blow into the faulty connector port. I did notice it would not work if I tried to load a save state during a cut scene or when the iso first loads.
Hi, my black dualshock2 controller is not working. I've managed to piece everything together except that white bit in the top right area, I'm missing that piece! So that way the game dosn't slow down as much. You can also just move around a bit and they will be fixed automatically. I also tested by creating new save state and playing for a few minutes then reloading the save state without exiting the game. If you follow all the directions, the game should work. But what if your games run slow? Have tried other controllers on the same port and they work fine so it is definitley a problem with the controller. When putting a Dualshock back together never use force, if the shell isn't fitting back together you've probably not put things back right or you're not aligning the parts as you place the two halves together.
Can anyone give me some advice on how to fix it? I have done some research on the net and keep seeing inferences that some games require a DualShock 2 controller. Anyway, I might just disable the feature. Good initiative, your recommended specs are fairly high I have to admit but for constant full speed gaming in those faster running games you're not that much off really. Still, it shouldn't be like that. It inspired me to clean my Dualshock 2 pad. So what I did was use a cheat to get my hero to lvl 99, and then just played with him in the party.
Make sure that the analog control light is on when the game boots up. They say that it can be played on all dimensions windows xp, vista, 7,8 and all im getting is a black screen with slow sound. If in another nation, you can visit sony. The reason I've no white bit is that it got hoovered up lol. My Dualshock 3 pad messed up so after viewing a few videos on youtube, I was able to disassemble, clean, reassemble, it's all good.
I can't just revert it because we'll learn nothing from it. There is not a practical way to fix it like when i played ps2 and stuff like that happened i would like blow into the cord where you plug it in. For information: I have now acquired a DualShock 2 controller and find that all the games respond to it, including those which do not respond to the DualShock controller. This can be annoying as you miss out on alot of cool parts of the game. Use a phillips 0 or a phillips 1 screwdriver, flip the ps2, you will see all these tiny squares, pull them out using something sharp, and underneath them there will be the screws, also there are some screws located underneath the warranty sticker and another underneath the Info sticker, just probe the surface until you land upon a hole. And the correct usage and placement of the dlls is nowhere to be found on Gabest's initial gsdx post. Suggested by gamersat678 and skoreanime.
